TWO people had to be cut free after a two-vehicle smash on the A1 yesterday morning (Sunday).
Firefighters arrived at the scene, close to the Diddington turn off on the southbound carriageway, shortly after 11am.
They assisted paramedics to release one person, and cut free another by 11.51am.
Both people are believed to have been taken to hospital.
Fire crews were back at base by 12.31pm.
