TWO people were taken to hospital after a car overturned on the A428 at Croxton last night (Wednesday).

Firefighters, from Papworth, St Neots, and Huntingdon, were called shortly after 4.30pm to the two-vehicle crash and used specialist cutting equipment to rescue a person who was trapped in their car. Two people were able to get out on their own.

Ambulances took two people with minor injuries to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Police officers closed the road to help recovery of the vehicles.

A fire crew was also sent to a bin on fire in Love’s Way, St Neots at 6.34pm.
