TWO people were taken to hospital after their car crashed into a hedge on its side off a busy Huntingdonshire road last night (Sunday).

The A141 at RAF Wyton was closed for an hour after the Ford Ka they were travelling in left the road and entered a hedge. Two people were hurt when their Ford Ka left the A141 at RAF Wyton at 7.30pm. One of the occupants was able to get out but firefighters had to release the other, who sustained a wrist fracture and an ankle injury.

Paramedics treated the other for minor injuries and they were both taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

The road was reopened shortly before 9pm.

This was the second incident in a week in the vicinity after another car turned on its side on Tuesday evening, close to the Sawtry Way roundabout.
