FIRE crews were called to two deliberate fires in as many hours at the rear of St Peter’s School in Huntingdon.
They extinguished the first fire, which was rubbish alight in the middle of a children’s play area on Spring Common, using an aqua pack and returned to Huntingdon fire station by 12.15pm.
But within an hour they were back on the pump to attend a second rubbish fire in the same area. They extinguished the fire again and returned to their station by 1.35pm.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed that the cause of both fires was deliberate.
