He added that both riders suffered minor injuries and there was slight damage to the car. Roger Cortis said on the LEL Facebook page: I have spoken to two riders who were taken to hospital after accidents as they approached St Ives southbound. Both Peter Holland and Jeremy Sharp are now home, both battered and bruised, but both in reasonable spirits. Both are resting now for a few days - but I am sure that we all wish them a speedy get well and hope to see them on the road again in the near future. The cyclists were heading to St Ives from Kirton, Lincolnshire, ahead of riding to Great Easton, Essex, and London the following day.
