A car and a lorry have crashed on the A14.

Police were called to the eastbound carriageway at junction 23 for Spittals at 8.15am. No one was injured in the accident between the Ford Ka and Volvo lorry. The vehicles have since been recovered and the road is now clear.

This follows a collision involving three cars - a blue Peugeot 306, a black Honda civic, and a Renault Master van - in the same direction at junction 27 for Fenstanton at 7.15am.

A response car and an ambulance attended, where a man in his 20s was treated for injuries to his neck, back, and face. He was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, although his injuries were not thought to be serious. A police spokesman said that one lane was reopened at 8.01am, and that the incident is now being dealt with by the Highways Agency.
