TRIBUTES have been paid to a “well-liked” St Neots man who was killed in a road crash near Godmanchester on Wednesday (June 13).

Scott Clark, 23, of Love’s Farm, died after his blue Vauxhall Corsa was involved in a collision with a tractor on Offord Road.

Rebecca Slight, 20, told The Hunts Post he was a close friend.

She said: “I was practically joined at the hip with him. He was a big cuddly bear and I loved him a lot as a friend. To be honest, it hasn’t sunk in yet but I’m sure it will.”

Rebecca is planning to raise money in his memory at the salon where she works.

She explained: “The money is for his family because I know Scott wouldn’t want them in any sort of trouble. I just want them to know how much I love the family.”

She will offer men’s haircuts for £10 with all proceeds going to Mr Clark’s family.

Mr Clark was a former Ernulf Academy student and also studied at Huntingdonshire Regional College.

Academy director Scott Preston said: “We are all deeply saddened by the news that Scott has passed away. He had a caring personality and enjoyed being at school. He was bubbly and cheerful and was well liked by students and staff alike.

“We would like to extend our sincere condolences to Scott’s family and friends.”

A spokesman for Huntingdonshire Regional College said: “Scott was a good and respected student at Huntingdonshire Regional College and had great potential. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Up until April this year, Mr Clark worked for Safestyle UK in Peterborough.

A company spokesman said: “All here at Safestyle UK offer their most heartfelt sympathy to Scott’s family for their loss.”

INFORMATION: Rebecca’s fundraiser is at Style Guru, Longsands Parade, St Neots, on Monday, June 25, from 10am-4pm.
