The two men accused of murdering Sam Mechelewski in Hinchingbrooke Country Park are due to appear in court today (Monday).

Jordan Shepherd, 23, of Mayfly Close, Chatteris, and Ashley White, 20, of West End, Brampton, will be tried for Mr Mechelewski’s murder which happened on February 1 this year. The trial is at Cambridge Crown Court and the judge in the case is Nicholas Goose.

Shepherd and White pleaded not guilty to Mr Mechelewski’s murder when they appeared at an earlier hearing at Cambridge Crown Court on July 18.

The body of Mr Mechelewski, 20, from Huntingdon, was found in a wooded area of the country park after a police investigation.

Ciara Ratcliffe, 21, of Sycamore Drive, Huntingdon, also faces trial after she denied a charge of perverting the course of justice at the hearing on July 18.
