Trapped horse on A1 near Sawtry is released - pictures

A HORSE had to be released after becoming trapped in a horse box on the A1.

Fire crews from Sawtry, Yaxley and Stanground and a rescue vehicle from Dogsthorpe all attended the incident, which happened at 10.20am on Sunday, May 1.

The animal was trapped in the box between Norman Cross and Sawtry, but was freed unharmed. Crews, assisted by a vet, moved the horse to a field in Sawtry.
