The man, believed to be 49-years-old and from Stevenage, was hit by an East Coast train travelling between London Kings Cross and Leeds just after 7.30am. Commuters faced delays of up to 90 minutes earlier today and trains were not stopping at St Neots but this afternoon, services resumed as normal. A British Transport Police spokesman said: BTP attended St Neots railway station following report of a person by struck by a train. We were called at 7.40am and Cambridgeshire police officers also attended. We are currently treating the incident as non suspicious. Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service also attended the incident, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the mans identity and inform his family. A file will be prepared for the coroner. More to follow.
