Trailer laden with household goods catches fire

FIRE crews were called to a burning van trailer loaded with washing machines near Keyston on Monday night.

FIRE crews were called to a burning van trailer loaded with washing machines near Keyston on Monday night.

A crew from Kimbolton attended at 11.38pm after several calls were received by the fire service, and a second crew from Thrapston was later dispatched.

They found a van trailer of household goods on Loop Road, just off the B663, had caught fire. Crews had the fire under control by 2.44am before returning to base at 3.34am.

Tuesday the cause of the fire was still being investigated by the fire service.
