The incident took place at about 6.30pm at the Fenton Road roundabout, with a trailer tipping over and sending tonnes of freshly-harvested wheat onto the carriageway. Roger Green, who lives in Fenton Road, said he heard a loud bang and found the trailer on its side when he went out to investigate. He said: The wheat pretty well blocked the road, although after a while traffic did manage to find a way around it. Thankfully nobody was injured. The police arrived and it took a long time for them to clean up the mess and to get the trailer upright again. Mr Green said the road was finally cleared and re-open again by about 8.30pm.
