Improvements to a passenger drop-off point at St Ives Bus Station may encourage more visitors to the town and boost tourism.
The improvements, which provide a more convenient place for coaches to drop off and collect visitors to the town, are as a result of investigations by the St Ives Bus Working Group.
St Ives Town Mayor Councillor Nick Dibben said: “The new drop off point will encourage visitors. The Town Council will be contacting coach operators to ensure they add St Ives to their programmes.”
Councillor Nick Guyatt, whose executive responsibilities include transport, said: “Huntingdonshire District Council has been working closely with other authorities and local bus operators to identify how we can ensure that passengers enjoy a first class service and waiting facilities.”
