ST IVESThe Norris Museum in St Ives is holding a competition during half-term to help its efforts to raise £130,000 to unlock further funding. The contest will feature 50 questions about people, places and the history of St Ives, Huntingdon and Ramsey, compiled by Mick Napier, museum assistant. It costs £1 per entry you can work as a group or individually and the quiz is available from the museum on Broadway, St Ives. There is £50 prize money for the winner. It runs from Monday, May 25 and the closing date for entries is 4pm on Saturday, June 1. Also, look out for the Norris Museum stall on the St Ives Market on Friday, May 29 where staff and volunteers will be raising money for the museum. The fundraising group aim to reach a target of £130,000 to help secure a grant of £1.3 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund which will be used to expand the museum and create updated and lively displays for families and visitors of the future. The trip has been organised by the Holiday club in Huntingdon and Bury, set up by the Papworth Trust. Places are still available for young people with additional needs and their siblings.
