Tickets are close to selling out for the Little Gransden Air and Car Show at the weekend.

While some passes may still be available at participating outlets, they are no longer being sold online. Guests will not be able to pay for entry on the gate.

The event on Sunday (August 24) will see the last two airworthy Lancaster bombers take to the skies, which the organisers said has contributed to high demand for tickets. In addition, there will be world-class aerobatic displays from pilot Mark Jefferies, plus the chance to see a Spitfire, P-51D Mustang, and Vulcan XH558. Veteran, vintage or classic cars, lorries, tractors and motorcycles will be on show, and there will be an indoor craft fair selling a variety of goods including pottery and jewellery.

The Huntingdon Big Band will perform throughout the event, and there wil be a break in the activities for a brief memorial service.

Supporting the BBC Children In Need Appeal and local charities, the show will include over four hours of displays and amusements.

Since the first event in 1992, it has raised over £165,000 for charity. Last year, the team donated £25,000 to Children in Need.

INFORMATION: From 10am to 6pm, with the air display from about 1pm to 5pm. Tickets cost £16 for adults, £12 for OAPs, £8 for children between 5 and 15, or £40 for a family of two adults and two children. Tickets may still be available from Woodview Farm Shop in Gamlingay, Hamiltons, Cross Keys, St Neots, George Alan, Chequers Court, Huntingdon, Premier Travel, Huntingdon, St Ives, and Royston, and Robinson’s Budgens in Kimbolton.
