A 15-year-old boy was punched and kicked to the ground in a vicious assault in St Neots.

The victim was walking along a footpath running along the back of Shakespeare Road and Stratford Place with a friend at about 11.20pm, on Saturday, April 23, when the pair were confronted by three men.

The victim was punched several times to the head and repeatedly kicked after falling to the floor.

The attackers, who are described as being about 18, then made off. The victim’s friend was not injured in the incident.

PC Emma Garwood, investigating, said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked attack on a young lad.

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw what happened or was in the area at the time.

“In particular I’m keen to trace a man walking his two dogs who spoke to the victim after the incident.”

INFORMATION: Anyone with any information should call PC Garwood on 0345 456 4564 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
