Firefighters have been called to three incidents in Huntingdonshire so far this week.

On Monday (January 26), one crew from Yaxley and one from Stanground were called to a crash on Long Drove in Holme at 12.21pm. They arrived to find a collision had taken place between two vehicles and released one casualty who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

On Tuesday (January 27), a crew from Huntingdon, one from Sawtry and one from Stanground tackled a car fire on the A1 southbound carriageway between Sawtry and Alconbury. They found the car well alight on the hard shoulder and extinguished the flames before returning to base by 7.45pm. The cause of the fire was accidental.

Then, at 11.58pm one crew from Huntingdon was called to an arson attack on a car in Queens Drive in the town. They put out the flames and returned to their station by 1.10am. Anyone with information about this incident should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
