THIEVES stole thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, silverware and electrical equipment from a home in Fenton.

Burglars forced their way into the house in Fenton Road between 1.45pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday (August 13) before making off with the items.

The stolen property included a distinctive Cloisonné carriage clock, a Dell laptop, a silver spoon and fork christening set with a birch leaf pattern, a set of silver grapefruit spoons, amethyst and diamond necklace and earings, a gold pendant, a gold bracelet, Kings Pattern silverware set and a Samsung tablet.

PC Mark Joslin, investigating, said: “Many of the items are antiques and hold sentimental value to the victim.

“They are desperate for the items to be returned and I would urge anyone who is offered these items to call police.”
