THIEVES cut through metal shutters in an attempt to steal from a cash machine in a Ramsey supermarket.
Police are appealing for information following the incident, which happened at the Co-op store, formerly the Rainbow, in Newtown Road, at 1.25am on Thursday (August 18).
They were called to reports of a break-in and arrived to find that offenders had cut through metal shutters and attempted to break into the cash machine in the store.
Detective constable Sarah Fines, investigating, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the break-in.
“Cutting through metal rollers would have been very noisy and I’m sure people living nearby may have looked out to see what was going on.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who saw any vehicles driving away from the scene.”
INFORMATION: Anyone with any information should call DC Fines on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
