A woman’s car was broken into while she was watching her grandson play football.
The 58-year-old parked her grey Mercedes C220 on a verge in Overcote Lane, Needingworth, close to the entrance of the sports field car park between 10am and 11am on Saturday (November 29).
Thieves smashed the front passenger window and stole a black leather Fossil clutch bag, worth about £85 and containing bank carders £30 in Tesco vouchers, £40 and cosmetics, from under the drivers seat.
Pc Andy Minns said: “There were a lot of people at the sports filed when this happened so I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this happen or anyone who has information to contact police.”
INFORMATION: Anyone with information should contact PC Minns on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
