A DEBIT card stolen from a 90-year-old woman has been used to buy items in Huntingdon.

The card was stolen from the woman’s home in Southam, near Leamington Spa, in March, when a man came to her door and told her that her roof needed fixing.

He entered the house and asked to have her card so he could withdraw money to pay for materials before he could start work. He didn’t return and the card was used to withdraw cash in Southam, and later in the day, was used to buy items from a shop in Huntingdon.

Officers from Warwickshire police believe the thief is from the Huntingdon area because of the later purchases.
