A GANG of five youths punched and kicked a teenager in an unprovoked street attack in Little Paxton.

The 16-year-old victim was walking with two female friends when he was confronted by the group of five youths at about 10.20pm on Friday, May 20.

He was punched by one member of the group and pushed to the ground, where he was kicked by others.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was shaken by the attack.

The assault happened near Little Paxton post office, at the junction of High Street and St James Road.

The offenders are described as being between 17 and 20, and white, apart from the youth who started the attack, who was black. Four were wearing dark hooded tops and one a grey hooded top.

PC Tom Corbett, investigating, said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked attack and I am keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened.”
