A 19-YEAR-OLD MAN has been arrested after a fight involving weapons broke out in St Neots in the early afternoon on Monday.

Reports of an altercation involving three or four men, some possibly with weapons, came in to Cambridgeshire Police at about 2.35pm on Monday.

It happened in the area of Priory Park, on Priory Hill, leading into Huntingdon Street, and near to the fire and ambulance stations.

It is not clear what weapons were used but a man was seen with a plank of wood.

The teenager was arrested at the scene. Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

PC Carl Harris, from St Neots neighbourhood policing team, said: “This fight happened early afternoon and there would have been passing traffic so I would encourage anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Harris on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
