It was a moment pupils at Barnabas Oley Primary School will never forget – the day a dinosaur walked across their playground.
Despite it’s life-like features, the baby T-Rex was in fact a puppet with animatronic features and a very realistic roar, which brought the school topic of mega beasts to life.
Headteacher Becky Smith said: “There were a few tears from the younger children and even the older ones were besotted when they saw it.”
The company Education City held workshops yesterday (Tuesday) for all the children, where they learnt about paleontology and the jurassic period.
The day finished with a visit from Sophie, an 8ft life-like full body costume worked by a puppeteer modelled on puppets from the Walking with Dinosaurs show.
Mrs Smith added: “We could not have done it without the help of the PTA.
