A team of eye care specialists in St Neots held a Pudsey-themed cake stall to raise money for Children in Need.

Staff at Specsavers, in High Street, managed to collect £348 for the charity, which raised a record-breaking £46 million this year.

Store director, Rakesh Nanda, said she was proud of the team’s efforts and added: “Children in Need is a beloved charity across the country, not least here in St Neots. It was fantastic to see the community unite behind this special cause and be part of this record-breaking year for the charity.”

Children in Need provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. It is currently supporting 2,400 projects all across the UK.
