A student at St Ivo School was taken to hospital today (Tuesday) after suffering a fall at the school.

An ambulance, a community first responder and the Magpas air ambulance were called to the school, in High Leys, at about 12.30pm.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said it was called following reports that the girl had been injured and added that she was transported by road ambulance to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

A spokesman for Magpas Air Ambulance said: “The air ambulance enhanced medical team landed in St Ives at 12.48pm this afternoon. They had been called to a girl that had suffered a fall.

“Fortunately the patient hadn’t sustained any life-threatening injuries and she was left in the care of an ambulance service paramedic crew.”
