Strawberry teas were served at a private address on Brampton to raise funds for the new £2.4million cancer centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The Macmillan Woodlands centre is currently being extended to provide more beds for people undergoing chemo therapy.
After a soggy start to the day the weather brightened up and £445 was raised from the event, held in High Street.
Organiser Marie Shepperson said: “I’m on the fund-raising committee for the hospital and we have been raising money for over 15 years. We raise between £50,000 and £30,000 every year.”
According to Macmillan, every year more than 850 people in Huntingdon and the surrounding area are diagnosed with cancer.
