A BROKEN-down lorry caused tailbacks on A14 during the morning rush hour today (Friday).
The HGV broke down at about 6.45am on the eastbound carriageway between Godmanchester and Hemingford Abbots.
A police spokesman said the driver had attempted to move the vehicle off the road but had been unable to do so.
A lane had to be closed while the vehicle was recovered. The scene was cleared shortly before 9am, and the heavy congestion is clearing slowly.
