People who are undergoing treatment for cancer will be able to benefit from gift pouches, thanks to the efforts of a woman from Stonely.
Natasha Armstrong wanted to do something to help after supporting a friend through treatment.
“I lost a friend to cancer and since then I have wanted to help others going through treatment because I know it’s tough,” said Natasha.
She asked friends to sponsor the pouches, which are filled with toiletries and other items.
“People from Canada and the United States sponsored the pouches as well as local people. I put a piece on my local Facebook page and was overwhelmed by the support I received and my friends and neighbours all pulled together to help me pack the pouches,” said Natasha.
Susan Moore, from the Hunts Community Cancer Network (HCCN) saw Natasha’s post and offered to help her deliver the pouches.
“It was such a kind thing to do and I knew just where those pouches would deliver most benefit,” said Susan.
