The dogs, Sean, Sue and their one-year-old puppy, were taken from the vehicle in Leicestershire on the morning of Tuesday, October 9. Their owner reported the trio of Border Collie X Kelpie dogs missing to police and launched an online appeal for their safe return. Later that day, the one-year-old puppy, called Nel, was found hiding under a car in Willingham and was taken to the local RSPCA centre who returned him to the farmer. He updated the online appeal to say that Nel had been found. One Willingham resident called to say they had heard the sound of distressed dogs barking nearby. Police officers, PC Adam Price and Ben Suckling, visited the area with photographs of the missing dogs, Sean and Sue, and successfully found them. The Nottingham farmer came to Cambridgeshire Police to collect the dogs and took them back home. PC Price said: As a pet owner I was over the moon to get these dogs back home. I would like to commend the resident for their quick thinking which enabled us to reunite these dogs with their owner. All three dogs are well and happy to be home reunited with their family.
