A STOCK car driver suffered serious head and chest injuries after overturning car during a race.
The man, in his 60s, was trapped inside the car after the accident at the motor racing event at Wyboston.
Magpas Helimedix Doctor Lorraine Greasley and paramedic Simon Standen flew to the venue and with the help of a Red Cross team, got the man safely out of the vehicle.
They anaesthetised the man before transporting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. On arrival he was in a critical condition.
