Lessons were suspended on Friday morning (December 13) for the staffs rendition of Cinderella, which included headteacher Val Ford as the wicked stepmother. Julia Robson, who produced the show, said: Normally we take our Year 7 students out to see a pantomime but last year we got a production company into the school. Then we had the idea to put on a pantomime ourselves. We held the auditions and there was so much interest that we had three step sisters and a Shrek! She added: We did a performance for staff on Wednesday that was very well received. I think we will be doing it again next year as there was a lot of enthusiasm from others to take part in it. Also on Friday, the schools sixth form students and staff wore Christmas jumpers to help raise about £300 for Save the Children.
