Four pupils from Crosshall Junior School in Eaton Socon have been supporting the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War by selling enamel pins for £2, with all proceeds going to the Poppy Appeal.
There are two different pins – one for VE70 and another 1915-2015 pin.
The pupils, who have been learning about the Seocond World War, are members the local Royal British Legion.
Hazel and James Allison, and Zack, Demi and Reggie Argyle will be joining other members of the Legion on Regatta Meadow, St Neots, from 9pm on Friday (May 8).
There will be a display of military vehicles and a bugler will play The Last Post as the beacon is lit at 9.32pm, marking exactly 70 years since Victory in Europe was declared in 1945.
