The failed Oast House bar and cocktail lounge, which never managed to open, has a new owner.

The bar, opposite the Priory Centre, had been expected to open last September but the firm behind the venture went into administration.

Chartered surveyors Barford+Co said the property has now been sold to Oast Enterprises Ltd. The Grade II-listed building will be remodelled and renamed The Oast Lounge.

A spokesman for Oast Enterprises Ltd said: “We are hoping, while working alongside Huntingdonshire District Council, to open The Oast Lounge in time for customers to watch the World Cup on our giant screen TVs. We want it to be St Neots’s premier venue for televised sporting events, a great place to play snooker and pool and a stylish environment for simply socialising in.”
