Independent department store Barretts, based in Market Square, won the title of Best Commercial Frontage and the Barley Mow pub, in Eaton Ford, was named as the best Pub and Club Garden.

Alison Pearson, from St Neots in Bloom, said: “There are some beautiful displays provided by St Neots businesses and clubs, which help to brighten it up. Our competition is an acknowledgement of the effort that is put in and our way of saying’ thank you’ to everyone.”

The competitions were judged on July 19 by three St Neots in Bloom volunteers, who travelled around the town centre and along the main access routes into the town.

All commercial businesses on the route with annual and permanent planting displays were assessed, along with the back gardens of pubs and clubs where accessible.
