THE site manager at the cinema complex in St Neots has refused to comment or publicly apologise to residents after workmen carried out noisy building work late into the night.
Police were called to the Rowley Arts Centre construction site at around 9.45pm on Monday, August 12, following reports of suspicious behaviour. Officers established that the crews were legitimate, but many residents complained to Huntingdonshire District Council about the issue and the construction firm was told it must conform to rules stipulating that work can only be carried out between 7am and 7pm. No one from the construction company Britannia, which is building the Rowley Arts Centre on behalf of developer Turnstone Estates, responded to requests from The Hunts Post for a comment.
