St Ivo pupil Annabelle Carder sat in the tub of baked beans on Saturday (May 2) for 10 hours to raise money for the St Ives Youth Theatre. The drama club plans to stage a play called Vision at the Fringe with a cast of 60 aspiring actors and singers at an estimated cost of £32,000. It took more than 150 cans to fill the bath, which were emptied into Tupperware containers the night before, a task that took about three hours in itself. It was absolutely disgusting. Having your feet in it was horrible, said Annabelle, who raised £70 earlier in the year for the same cause by taking part in a nine-mile fun run around Grafham Water. I was very relieved and pleased at the end of it. It was windy and quite cold so my dad said I could get out after nine hours, but I was determined to make it to the end.
