A man who tried to attack his brother with a kitchen knife will appear before a judge to be sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court.
Christopher Lilley, of Forsythia Road, St Ives, had an argument with his brother, Andrew, over the phone on August 10 and told him that he was going to stab him.
Concealing a knife in his pocket, Lilley went round to his mum’s house to confront his brother and tried to attack him with it.
Prosecutor Giles Beaumont told Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court, on Tuesday: “The pair continued to argue and Andrew Lilley managed to grab hold of his brother and disarm him of the knife.”
Speaking for Lilley, Julian Hopley said: “At the time Mr Lilley was not taking his medication for mental health problems – he accepts that he had a knife at the moment.”
Lilley pleaded guilty to possession of a knife in a public place and common assault.
The 21-year-old was given bail by the magistrates’ on the condition that he doesn’t contact Andrew Lilley, his mother Anne or to their home address.
He will appear at Peterborough Crown Court at a later date.
