TWO people killed in a four-vehicle crash in St Ives on Friday night have been named.

Attila Kubanda, 28, and Katalin Bedo, 31, both of Wolf Crescent, London, were killed when the Mazda 3TS they were travelling in was involved in the collision just before 9pm, on the B1040, Somersham Road.

A 26-year-old man also in the Mazda was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of a Nissan 200SX, a 22-year-old man from Ramsey, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital. He has since been discharged.

All other casualties suffered minor injuries including:

• Two 22-year-olds in the Nissan, from Godmanchester and Huntingdon.

• A 44-year-old man from Somersham who was driving a Toyota Celica and his passengers, two boys aged 15 and 17.

• A 22-year-old man from Warboys, driving a Honda Civic, and his passenger, a 21-year-old woman from Alconbury.

Sergeant Richard Jackson said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle in the moments leading up to the collision.”
