A SOMERSHAM man is about to prove he is a cut above the rest by embarking on a marathon hair-cutting charity challenge.
Kevin Webster, 28, of Church Street, will be holding a 24-hour cut-athon to raise money for the Woodlands Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, which treats cancer patients.
The challenge will take place at Kevin’s family-run salon in St Ives and he is hoping to raise more than 1,000.
Kevin, pictured, told The Hunts Post: “I usually like to do runs for charity but don’t have as much time to train these days, so I decided to do something I’m good at, like cutting hair!”
He was originally going to raise money for Africa but settled on a charity closer to home.
“I know a lot of people who have had cancer and I wanted to do something that would benefit them and the local community.”
INFORMATION: Kevin’s cut-athon starts at 6am on Saturday (May 21) at the Lucid hair salon, 6 The Broadway, St Ives. A few appointments are still available. Call 01480 386212.
