A 22 YEAR OLD has today denied attempted murder and rape following an incident at a Somersham restaurant in November.

A 22 YEAR OLD has today denied attempted murder and rape following an incident at a Somersham restaurant in November.

Shi Fu Ni pleaded not guilty to one charge of attempted murder, one of attempted rape and a charge of sexual assault when he appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on Monday morning.

He was remanded in custody until his trial, due to take place on May 9.

Ni was arrested after police were called to the China Garden on High Street on Tuesday, November 9 at 5.20am following reports of a disturbance.
