Arsonists torched the contents of a skip in Eaton Socon yesterday (Thursday).

Firefighters from St Neots were called about 8.30am to a skip outside a property in Howard Road.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The crew arrived to find a fire in a skip containing paper and cardboard. Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire before returning to their station by 10am.”

An investigation found the cause of the fire was deliberate.
