HUNDREDS of skaters showed off their skills in Huntingdon at the weekend.
Action sport enthusiasts competed in BMX riding, skateboarding, in-line skating and scooter riding categories at Stukeley Meadows Skate Park on Saturday (September 15).
The event, supported by Halfords, and Huntigndon Rotary Club, was sponsored by In Bed Furniture (Anglia) for the second year running and marked the fourth anniversary of the park’s opening.
Claudia Deeth, community safety team leader at Huntingdonshire District Council, said: “This was a great opportunity for people to come together and demonstrate some of the fantastic talent that we have locally, it was an action packed, exciting afternoon of entertainment.
“Stukeley Meadows Skate Park is one of very few ‘street style’ skate parks that currently exist in the UK and therefore attracts many users. It is great that we have this facility within Huntingdonshire and it’s important that we celebrate its success.”
