Shailesh Vara will return to Government as a minister in the Ministry of Justice - a role fellow Cambridgeshire MP Jonathan Djanogly held between 2010-12.
The North West Cambridgeshire MP was promoted to Parliamentary Under Secretary to replace Helen Grant in today’s reshuffle. Mr Vara returned to the backbenches in September last year when he was removed from the Whips office.
He told The Hunts Post: “I am delighted the Prime Minister has invited me back into Government and I am looking forward to my role in the Justice department.”
Mr Djanogly’s office said that they had yet to hear from David Cameron.
