Seth King has been growing his hair for a whole year and next month will shave it all off in aid of East Anglias Childrens Hospices (EACH). The head shave event will take place at a family fun day on Saturday, April 2, from 12-4pm at The Mad Cat Inn, in Pidley. Seth, who goes to Somersham Primary School, decided last year he wanted to do something for the charity to raise money and, with help from his mum, he chose East Anglias Childrens Hospices to support. He immediately began growing his hair in April 2015 in preparation for the big day. Kayleigh Meeke, Seths mum, said: Seth came to me and said he wanted to do something for a charity that helps children that are ill and need support. I recommend EACH to him and we decided to organise the fun day and head save event to raise money. As well as Seths head shave there will be other fun activities going. Well have a bouncy castle, barbecue, raffle and sweet stall. We hope the day is a big success with lots of people coming to support him and raise lots of money. Seth added: Im very excited about the event and want to raise as much money for EACH as I can. EACH cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across East Anglia and supports their families. Lucy Glover, from EACH, said: Its wonderful that Seth has chosen to support us through his head shave, its so lovely that he wants to help the children that we care. We wish him lots of luck on the day and with his fundraising efforts. All the money Seth raises will go towards the vital services we providing caring for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and supporting their families.
