The café at the community special school chose to donate all its profits from the Easter term totalling £356.26. Staff, pupils and parents from the school recently gathered to present the cheque to EACH community fundraiser Peter Law. S pring Common Academy chose to support EACH as a former pupil, Samantha Desborough, used the services at the charitys Milton hospice before she died in 2014. Alison, Samanthas mum, works at the school and has been encouraging as many people as possible to fundraise for the charity. Dr Kim Taylor, head teacher at Spring Common Academy, said: We are so pleased to be able to present this cheque to EACH for the wonderful work they do in our local community. All the money donated has been raised through our school café and we are thrilled with the amount. At the Spring Common Academy our students leave as self-confident young people, ready to take on the many challenges that may face them after school within the local community and the wider world. We are proud to have been able to support our local community in this way.
