AS WELL as celebrating 25 years of Riverside Runners, the race will raise money for The Hunts Post’s New Life Appeal and Dreamdrops.
The charities raise money to buy equipment for the children’s and special care baby units at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon.
The cause was suggested by Liz Hiner, whose son Maxwell was born at 26 weeks in 2001 and received SCBU care for the first three months of his life.
Runners will be encouraged to run in aid of the New Life Appeal and Dreamdrops.
Since The Hunts Post launched the New Life Appeal in 2007, nearly 40,000 has been raised for equipment at the hospital.
Editor Andy Veale said: “We are delighted to be involved in this community event for the whole of Huntingdonshire.

“We hope that people turn out to join in and support the race, and that it can become an annual event in the future.
“Next year not only marks 25 years of Riverside Runners, but also the fifth anniversary of our New Life Appeal, during which time we have raised tens of thousands of pounds to support the fantastic work that goes on at the special care baby unit.”
