The 25th Annual Charity Sportsmans Night was organised by the Rotary Club of St Neots St Marys and took place at the Priory Centre on March 5. More than 300 representatives from businesses attended the event which is the highlight of the clubs annual fund-raising activities. Brian kept the audience richly entertained with a highly amusing insight into the world of commentary as well as his career as a rugby player and also as a practising solicitor in the days before fully professional rugby, said Rotary club president David Lawrence. Special guests included Ken Billington, Rotary district governor, and Stephen Moody, area manager for the SCOPE charity. A cheque for £3,000 was handed to SCOPE during the evening.
