The Papworth Trust has designed covers from some of the authors most famous childrens books, including The BFG, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach, which are on display in the window of the Oxfam bookshop in Huntingdon High Street. Roald Dahl died in 1990, aged 74, and was born in Cardiff on September 13, 1916 and he sold more than 250 million books worldwide. Although he wrote some adult books, he is most famous for his childrens stories which have been read by generations of youngsters. Geoffery Stalker, manager at the shop, said the two charities had been planning the display for some time and it had already attracted a lot of attention It seems to be one of the most popular window displays we have done and hundreds of people have read the story on our Facebook page . We started planning this with the Papworth Trust a few months ago and we appealed for people to donate Roald Dahl books for the shop and the Trust created all the artwork, which is just absolutely fantastic.
