The gala started off as a platform to help charities showcase themselves and raise money but the event has since grown into a fun-filled day of entertainment for children and big kids alike.

Organising committee member, Malcolm Lyons said: “The day was a real family occasion and I was pleased, as I was walking around, to see families sitting on blankets listening to music and dancing to local groups.”

The gala saw a special visit by Elsa from Disney’s Frozen and Ariel from the Little Mermaid, along with performances from dance groups.
